How Do Online Quran Classes for Kids Work?
Your child joins a live video lesson with their own teacher, usually 2 to 5 times a week for 30 minutes. The teacher listens to every letter, corrects mistakes gently on the spot, and only moves on when your child is ready. You choose class times around school, and a parent can sit nearby, especially for younger children.
All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone with internet, a quiet corner and, ideally, a pair of headphones so your child can hear each sound clearly. Books and practice sheets are shared digitally.
What Age Can Children Start?
Many children are ready around age 4 or 5, once they can sit and focus for 15 to 20 minutes and recognise shapes. Every child is different, so the teacher checks your child's level in the free trial and suggests the right starting point.
| Age | Typical starting point |
|---|---|
| 4–6 | Noorani Qaida, plus short duas and Surahs learned by listening |
| 7–9 | Noorani Qaida or Quran Reading, and learning Salah step by step |
| 10–13 | Quran Reading with Tajweed; Hifz for confident readers |
| 14 and up | Tajweed, Hifz or Arabic, depending on goals |
What Will My Child Learn?
- Reading: Arabic letters, sounds and joining with Noorani Qaida, then fluent reading of the Quran.
- Correct recitation: Tajweed rules taught a little at a time, so good habits form early.
- Memorization: short Surahs for daily prayers first (see our short Surahs for kids), then Hifz when your child is ready.
- Daily worship: wudu, Salah and everyday duas with their meanings.
How Teachers Keep Children Engaged
- One small goal per lesson: a few letters or a short passage, so every class ends with a win.
- Plenty of encouragement: praise for effort and gentle correction, never pressure.
- Revision built in: each class starts by reviewing the last one, so learning sticks.
- The same teacher every week: your child builds a trusting relationship with one teacher.
Safety and Peace of Mind for Parents
Every teacher is background-checked, and all classes are one-on-one. Parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson, and you can choose a male or female teacher. Teachers share regular progress updates, so you always know what your child has learned and what comes next.
Tips for Parents
- Keep the same class times each week so lessons become part of the routine.
- Set up a quiet spot with good lighting and headphones before each class.
- Practise for 5 to 10 minutes between classes; little and often beats long sessions.
- Celebrate milestones, like finishing a Qaida lesson or memorizing a new Surah.
