Learn the Quran Online from Anywhere in the USA
Tanzil offers live one-on-one online Quran classes for children and adults anywhere in the United States, at times that fit your time zone. Whether you live in New York, Houston, Chicago or Los Angeles, you or your child learn with a qualified, background-checked teacher by video call, without driving to a mosque or weekend school.
Many American Muslim families live far from a mosque with a regular Quran program, or juggle school, sports and work schedules that make fixed class times hard. Online classes bring the teacher to your home, so a 30-minute lesson after school fits into even a busy week.

The summer break, roughly June to August, is a good time to move up to 4 or 5 classes a week for faster progress, then return to 2 or 3 a week when school starts again in the fall.
Why Families in the USA Choose Online Quran Classes
- Alongside Sunday school: weekend Islamic school builds community, while short one-on-one lessons during the week make sure every letter is read correctly. Read our comparison of online and in-person classes.
- No long drives: in many parts of the country the nearest mosque program is a long drive away; classes at home save that time every week.
- Fits around school and activities: pick times around homework, sports and work, rather than one fixed group time.
- Female teachers available: many sisters and parents of young girls prefer a female Quran teacher; you can choose a male or female teacher.
- Safe and supervised: every teacher is background-checked, and parents are welcome to sit in on their child's classes.
